That's still a lot of people affected worldwide though. Once they get testing which produces results in minutes (which they are working on) and figure out ways to keep the immune system from going into overdrive with different meds, then I do think it will be more like the common flu is now. The flu was more deadly than it is now when it first appeared. But science and medicine makes it manageable now (though a significant number of people still pass away from it every year).

Sorry you're poor. Maybe you can start a GoFundMe to pay your rent until July? My parents both in their early 70s are and good health but obviously at risk due to age. To me its worth missing a few paychecks to see my kids graduate school.

Dude you’ve made this same tired argument in every single thread. All of those are lifestyle choices. A highly infectious disease, shouldn’t be allowed to spread rampantly across the country, just to save a few jobs in the short term. The economy will be fine, and it’ll bounce back. Peoples lives don’t have that option.

Quit watching CNN and have a glass of wine. Last year we had more deaths from the yearly flu in the US alone, than the current worldwide total from Covid.

Well now you are putting words in my mouth. I never said I was ok with that either and I'm ready to get back to work just as everyone else. I've been furloughed and my raise for this year slashed. But I'm willing to make sacrifices for the greater good. The economy is a man made system that can be adjusted and rebuilt. I can't rebuild my mom, my daughter, or your mom, wife etc.
