Idk why people think this.
Paying for the car in full is NOT a bargaining chip, especially for the Hondas and Toyotas of the world.
Regardless of if you finance, the dealer is getting paid in full within days of the sale. You are repaying the LENDER, who has already paid the dealership. This is the case even for the in-house financing. Except there are kick back incentives for the dealer.
Second, if you are financially responsible, why turn down cheap leverage? Spend that money on appreciating assets!

I've filed an official complaint through Hyundai about the dealership, who says they cant do anything because dealerships are independently owned
Complete bullsit
The Car Companies can punish and take the rights to their cars away on a whim.
I've watched it happen, when Chrysler cut down dealerships, One guy greased a local Liberal, who is in DC. Next thing you know, the car dealership who made a ton of sales, is told they lose their license for Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge line, it went to the guy less than 2 miles away. He sold less cars, and wasn't in great standing with Chrysler.
So Car Companies do have say and can punish the dealers.

More than a five year finance for a Hyundai?

2 head on collisions survived in Hyundais, one of which I shouldn't even be here from. All I got was a fractured foot from holding the brake pedal. They earned my purchase. That dealership is still shite.

Sounds like you weren't lied to. They may have used tricky language which I'm not saying is ok, but it sounds like you just didn't understand and made a terrible decision. This situation is at minimum half your fault. You shouldn't have gone in without proper financing and you should have been prepared to walk away if you felt you were getting railroaded.
ETA and you must be a shitty driver if you've had 2 head on crashes. Learn to drive and you could have avoided this whole situation.

Was this the first time you purchased a vehicle without your wife present?

You told 'them' to run 'it' through your credit union? Who did you tell to run what, exactly?
Why didn't YOU apply for the loan through YOUR credit union?
Because when I called the bitch on the phone said to let them run it because it " would be easier and less of a hassle for me"
I was 500 miles from the nearest location its not like i could walk into one and apply.

I called the general manager who was a complete redneck unprofessional Tpos, said " you signed the paperwork idk what to tell ya". I said yea you frick after you lied to my face multiple times. he said credit scored are different for car dealerships and thats why theres a 70 point swing. WTF?
This is not uncommon. They use different formulas and it's not simply your transunion/experian/equifax.
Shady frickers all do that.

Waste of time. Nobody checks BBB anyone. Blasting them on Facebook and Google reviews is best way to get your point across nowadays

He left out the part where they were laughing at his arse in the back, mocking him before headed back to him to tell him it was denied without doing anything involving financing.

Are you hopped up on your pain pills?
You signed a loan knowing it was a bad rate... you planned to refinance when you got home... you want Hyundai to refinance their own loan at a lower rate than you agreed... and now your "only option is to pay the fee and have it refinanced through the bank"?
But 20 paragraphs up you said you planned to refi when you got home anyway?
Good lord, son. Lay off the uppers.

i totaled my car on the way to AL, the dealership in AL had a lowrer price than my home dealership. I didn't know if a fricking rental agency would even give me a car while my broken foot is wrapped up with me on crutches.

First, you seemed to have been in a situation in which you were looking to buy that day. You totaled your car on Friday and Monday you were in a dealership looking for a new car to drive back home. Did you tell them anything that indicated you were in a situation where you needed to buy a car to get back home?
The reason I am asking is because there are dealerships that will take advantage of that. It seems like they were just wanting you to sign those papers ASAP. You could have called your credit union before signing the papers, but first, I wouldn't finance through the dealership.
I am not sure there is much you can do. This could have been avoided if you would have looked into all of this before buying.
