FDA wouldn’t approve something that would harm us, sure there is always hindsight problems with some drugs but I’m willing to take the risk

Set an example for others. I work with infectious disease docs and other docs for my job constantly and COVID is all we talk about these days. These people have repeatedly said they'll be first in line as well when it's available.
Not worried about it. At all.

on 11/24/20 at 8:20 am to CatsGoneWildUK is doing a trial with one of the possible vaccines. Not the Pfizer or Moderna one, but one based upon previous vaccines used for things such as Ebola, Zika, etc.
I would consider that one before the ones getting all the press.

I understand how health professionals would have 100% confidence in it but I still feel like there are some kinks to be worked out first. No way they got it right the first time.

They didn't. They had several things fail in phase 1. These winners made it through and have already been given to 10s of thousands of people.
And will be given to millions more before most people on here are even eligible for it.
These pharmaceutical companies have their entire existence on the line with this thing.
