There is nothing to consider. I'm not worried one bit about the Rona and won't be getting a vaccine.

I’ve seen too many class action lawsuits commercials against drug companies, I think I’ll wait awhile before I take that risk. I’ll probably end up getting the vaccine but I’m not in a hurry.

You work there? You "feel" like there are some kinks? WTF is this? Do you not understand the purpose of the vaccine trials?

How do we know a vaccine is the "one thing that can get us there"? When this charade started it was with the mantra of "just two weeks". 10 months later there is no "end" in sight. The goalpost have constantly moved. So why wouldn't they move again?

In short, I wouldn't take it. At least initially. It very likely would be "safe" and the risk low...but I just don't perceive the risk pertaining to covid (for me) to be high relative to the potential risk of an expedited vaccine...even though both would likely be very low. I don't take a flu shot. Perhaps as I increase in age and/or my health becomes weaker that analysis/calculation would change. But not now. Still, I won't bemoan or ridicule someone who has a different personal analysis/risk assessment.

Just food for thought, in 1976 we had a potential swine flu break out. The government, led by Gerald Ford, went balls to the wall to develop a vaccine and encourage mass vaccination. There was a big push from the media and government for mass vaccination. About 45 million people got it (25% of the population). Thereafter, about 450 people developed Guillain-Barré syndrome which was argued to be linked to the vaccine. The government push was suspended and eventually dropped.

Now, 450 out of 45 million is an incredibly small number. And I think we would all agree medical science has greatly increased over the course of 45 years. But no vaccine can be wholly without risk. For some, the risk of covid would greatly outweigh the risk of a new, hastily created (relative to most) vaccine. For others, it may not. In short, everyone should make their own risk assessment.

“I’m not afraid of COVID because the risk is so small”

Also

“I’m not taking this vaccine because 45 years ago 0.0001% of people got sick from a vaccine”

I've taken a lot of shite in the military, what's one more.

Was talking to some old military buddies recently and none of us know of anyone that got covid. I think all the shite they injected us with might have made us immune.

Yep, I remember being in a long line and getting several injections without any explanation of what we were getting. I'm pretty sure one was for Anthrax. I didn't get sick for a long time after that.

Its the mark of the beast.

Won't be able to buy sell or trade without it, and biden or Trump will put their name on it.

I will take it as soon as it's offered.

That's weird, people cite the COVID survival rates all the time, but you're even less likely to die from a vaccine, but the vaccine is so scary. Idiot logic.

They won't knowingly approve something that can harm us, is what you might have meant.

737 MAX is a recent example of federal regulator failure that comes to mind.
