Going to college isn't everything it's cracked up to these days with tons of millennials in massive educational debt unable to find work. Whereas blue-collar types potentially make more and don't have the debt.

Technically none. I went back to work with my dad for about a year until I found a job I liked.

I was making bank selling computers before I graduated in comp science. That's why I went part time and it took me so long.

I took the first job offered after graduation at a forensic engineering company. Took a couple months to get, but I had no experience and the economy was shite when I graduated. Worked there for 3 years and then moved into the life insurance field, which I'm still doing 7 years later. I had a company reach out to me last summer for a position working from home and I started that in April. Going to stay in this industry as long as I keep this job. No desire to go back to an 8-5 in an office.

Spring 98 ISDS.
Two offers after three interviews before graduation by dead week.

Computers, man. Computers. I still hate them 20 yrs later. But the Sys analyst/dba jobs are where it's at for pay/work load.

I didn’t have a “field” but went to work immediately and worked a lot of positions, excelled and failed at some, climbing up and down the ladder, now own a business and managing chaos up, down, sideways but equipped with a lot of different experiences, functions, and a passionate vision.
