I would start looking before you graduate. My company has a program that guarantees graduates a job at our company. I think we have two engineers in the program now.

7 months, could’ve been sooner but waited for the right job, and in the BR market that’s not quite saturated with tech jobs. Especially in 2015.

Assume much there?
If you’re on time, you’re late.
The best of us had shite figured out before the rest of the pack.

10 years. That’s partly because the timing never worked out.
Other times I just couldn’t get my foot in the door or bad economy or the dreaded “needed someone with prior experience”
I had to get out of my comfort zone and be willing to travel a little bit to gain experience.

This hurts a lot of people too. Like why not give people a chance. They have knowledge

Found a crappy one immediately. Jobs progressively got better and then at 8 years found a great job. The compensation was always there but I never really loved what I did until I found the good one

Never did. It wasn't easy but I also wasn't motivated at all.
Eventually just worked my way up in the field I was in while going to grad school, and that MBA finally comes in handy for the types of positions I can move into nowadays.

You sound as if you're really knocking it out of the park while at collige, based on your question. Keep up the good work! FTR I accepted a job with a tech/IT consulting company six months before I walked, and was in the new-hire training program a couple of weeks thereafter.
