Pretty much right away. My daughter was born 10 1/2 months after my wife and I were married.

A friend and his wife tried for six years with no luck. So they adopted a baby girl. Three months later, wife is pregnant. What a blessing.

First kid was unplanned, somebody got a little to enthusiastic that night.

Second kid was planned and took us about a month.

Not married, been with the same woman for over 10 years, kids live in a 2 parent household with their biological mother and father.

I understand; when most people think on unwed parents they think of trailer folk, food stamps and multiple fathers/mothers but thats not always the case. We (I) just dont want to get married. My 8yo son asked why me and his mother werent married and I explained to him that I dont belong to a religion so having a church wedding would be hypocritical. As for a marriage recognized by the government, no thank you. My truthful explanation was fine with him because he knows, regardless of a piece of paper, his parents love each other and love him and his baby sister.

She got off birth control thinking it would take at least 3 months for it to get out of her system. We were pregnant 2 weeks later with twins.

It was probably about 6 months after we started trying. She had some health issues in her early 20s so we weren't sure if she would be able too (both mid 30s now), but the doctor said she should be fine. She wanted me to go get my sperm tested since I smoke here and there and that allegedly can make you have a low count, but we found out she was pregnant before I scheduled anything so I guess my count is ok lol. Our little girl is about 2 months away now.

Around 7 years. Took breaks during that period from actively trying but that's roughly the time period. Now have a kid in elementary school. Those years of trying seem like a different age entirely now.

Did they return the adopted one?

Wife and I had no issues with our first. Then it was just over 6 years for the second and it required IVF. We had no trouble conceiving, but there were issues with ectopic pregnancies so IVF was required to bypass that risk. I feel the pain of those having to deal with long tries, although there is benefits of having an age gap between the two.

More than 2 years of fertility treatments, planning sex around ovulating, etc. Sucked.

Then 10 months after the 1st one, we were pregnant with the 2nd. 100% not planned and pull out method didn't work. God has a sense of humor

Wife and I gave up after 3 years and multiple surgeries that ended in a partial hysterectomy. 5 years later, we have an adopted 3 year old that we got when he was 2 days old and are currently certified and waiting on the call for a 2nd. Sometimes being dealt a crappy hand in life is a blessing in disguise. Thanks to what we went through, I never had to deal with a pregnant, hormonal wife

Sounds worse.

Congrats though. We have two and have talked about adopting a third. It looks like a very daunting process.

First child, like 3 times. 2nd and 3rd, once, because that's exactly the amount of times we had sex in the time frame.

Prior to my vasectomy we were 100% at the pull out method, and 100% successful at the not pull out method.

We have 2 kids.

This basically me. The only difference is that we got the bonus plan the second time around and had twins.

Married for 34 years now...

Child 1- 6 months of trying.
Child 2- 2 years trying -no go. Turns out the Mrs. had serious baby making issues and we had to do IVF.
Child 3- I was on business for 3 months and had a weekend at home. I made it count. Child 2 was only 4 months old at the time. The doctors swear to this day it was a festivus miracle due to the reproductive issues the Mrs. has.

So we have a 27 yr old, 21 year old and a 20 year old.

God works in mysterious ways.

When I had my son my doctor said I don't care what you went through to have this child, if you don't want another get on birth control. He says it happens all the time that people randomly get pregnant after going through fertility treatments.

Actually happened to my boss at my previous job. They said no way she could get pregnant without treatments and bam, another kid. They were done and she had already given away all the baby things they had.

Married on 2/29/20, pregnant 3/4/20 after the cruise ship couldn't dock at a port on the honeymoon due to high seas.

Made the best of the extra time.
