Same. And I figured it would take a few months (most of my friends had taken a while).
After the fact doc was like, "oh yea two young, healthy people like yourselves, shouldn't take anytime at all..."

You having trouble conceiving? Just an FYI, if the woman was on BC then it may take some time for her body to “readjust” to open the baby factory again.

We were married 8 years before we conceived. She was on the pill for the first 4, pullout method for the last 4, we were successful on our first attempt at conception.

a lotta years and a lot of $$$ for IVF. Only to have her get pregnant the good old fashioned way. BTW, no refunds on the IVF.

We were told we had possible conception issues, so we started actively trying. Nada. Finally we said screw it and stopped actively trying. A few weeks later after a weekend of margaritas, conception was achieved.

Over 2 years of not preventing. We’re old, so I assumed it wasn’t in the cards. Shock of my life when it actually happened.

Tried naturally for about 2 years. Then we did fertility treatments for about a year and a half. Two failed IUIs led to two surgeries for me and then success on our first round of IVF. Long, painful (emotionally and physically), and expensive process. Worth it, but not going through that again so one and done.

Been purposely trying for two months now, just got the red alert that month two was unsuccessful this past Saturday. We'll see how December goes.
She was convinced that it would just happen immediately, I told her that was probably optimistic. Nowhere near the point of worry yet.
