I dunno but small animals (especially insects) would not maintain the same speed and strength ratios if they increased in size due to the square-cube law.

What this basically means is that as surface area increases, volume (and weight) increases by a larger factor.

A 100 lb. chicken would be stronger than a 5 lb. chicken, but now 20 times stronger. And a 100 lb. ant wouldn’t be picking up tanks and shite.

I don’t know, but I went in our chicken yard when I was about 8 years old and a rooster spurred me in the face. Still have a scar next to my nose 40+ years later. I threw a 2x4 at “Old Yeller” and broke his leg. I thought my daddy was gonna whip arse when he got home. Instead we killed, cleaned, and ate Old Yeller that night for supper.

BTW, he was named that because he crowed all the time.

Anything larger than a Brazilian Giant breed and it could take on 80% of grown men.

Even this big sumbitch would give you a roustabout and could easily frick a child up.

I always love when they go into missile mode with their heads down and wings out

But while the easiest thing to do is just give them their space, it feels like you could just kick one real hard. If you truly felt threatened, and I’m struggling to imagine how, wouldn’t it be pretty easy to snap that long neck? Again, don’t see how it would come to that.

Me and the giant gooses are gonna go at it one day. I agree that a kick would probably be very effective, but it’s personal, and I want to open hand slap it’s face first.

The rooster that flogged me when I was 5 years old seemed more than big enough to be a man killer. I still remember that.

If you’ve ever come into contact with a pissed off dumbfrick rooster who decided he doesn’t want you around anymore, you’d realize the answer is a lot smaller than you think

Well we know an ostrich can kill a human, so there’s that point of reference.

It’s the opposable thumbs that make this one deadly.

He’s now domesticated a wolf that prowls around his water trap-invested lair.

It’s not the size of the cock, it’s how hard it fights?…

Personally, I’ve just decided to believe this about all animals.

I don’t care if it’s 30 lbs, I’m using some kind of weapon. We didn’t gain dominion over the animals by thumping with them hand-to-hand.
