My AC was having a hard time keeping up on Saturday and was running all day to keep my house at 76 degrees. I like to keep it closer to 70-72 during the day and no warmer than 67 at night. I keep a couple of window units to hook up to my generator for when we go extended periods of time without electricity so I hooked one up to supplement my central AC. I am sure that my electric bill will be ridiculous if I keep this up all summer but at least I will be in comfort.

How fat are you?

Mine stays on 80-82 in the day. I’ll drop it down to 78 at night. If it’s 95-100 outside, 80 degrees feels pretty cool esp with the fan on.

Almost impossible to design an AC system to cool more than 20 degrees of whatever it is outside particularly with high humidity.

Geez man, you're paying extra money to get it so cold that you need extra blankets.

There’s no way you’re not a fricking sweathog at your place.

AC guy told me years ago it's tough to cool 25 deg cooler than outside temp. Of course shade and real good insulation can help

I find this hard to believe.

It’s not holding anything up. It’s a piece of equipment and it just sits there, working when I tell it to.

Mine stays at 68 all day and night. I don’t want to come home to an 83 degree living room and wait 3 hours for it to cool off to a comfortable temp.

How poor are you? 80-82 is not comfortable inside I don't care how hot it is outside. 78 at night? You are joking right?

I hear that Salmon!!!! My home was built in the 1890’s. Even though it’s almost fully restored, it runs almost all day for 6 months!!!!

Unless you live in a Yeti, I know your house isn't 68 degrees at the end of the day..

Your a/c will work it's arse off to keep your house 17-20 degrees below the outside temp.

Please never invite me to a function at your house. It Is like a 1 in a million chance, but one can never be too safe.
