Yeah I never really planned to boycott, but goings on in NOLA have pretty much zapped my desire to go. I drove through a couple times going hunting in MS, but didn't stop.

In my experience, it’s people who use the word “snowflake” who tend to “melt” the most.

Nola is great for tourists. Everyone knows it’s a good party Town. No boycott was going to change that.
But there are deep problems with the city that Mayor Latoya will not solve. Good luck, Nola residents.

I don’t think the continuation of longstanding choice to not do something that you don’t like to do qualifies as a boycott. I have been boycotting anchovy pizza and fanny packs my entire life.

SWB and Latoya are running this state's two largest cities. That's insane to think about. I can't see a way that this ends well.

Wife and I wanted to see Cody Jinks tonight at the Joy theater. Instead, we're traveling to watch him in Mississippi at the crawfish festival. I spread the word of frick that city to everyone I can and know many that have boycotted too. But, I'm just a racist redneck Cody Jinks fan I guess.

This boycott was largely supported by people who already didn't go to NOLA, it was very idiotic and doomed to fail from the get go.
But don't pretend that NOLA doesn't have deep structural problems that the current/incoming administration will not fix. They put a higher priority over regulating bars and strip clubs than combating violent crime, drainage, and clean water.
The DXC deal is great if it works out, which I hope it does. But we'll have to see how it goes. IBM promised BR and Monroe a lot but has since failed to deliver. And I don't see many other major economic development projects coming down the pipe.
Despite all the problems I still have a good time when I go there.
