On a scale? Like 5 or 6.
Have some lingering health issues and my insurance screwed me over. I an trying to get new insurance now.
Had my first real partner since my divorce but it ended badly a couple of months ago.
I need to get back out there. But I'm busy with work.
I'm mostly happy because i don't dwell on the negative.

I’m covered up in poison ivy right now so I’m pretty fricking miserable.
To make it worse I’ve got chiggers also.

The entire OT is sitting on their computer during a weekend saying how happy they are.

Happy? Genuinely 3.5
Joyous? 10 all day.

4, but at the moment, much of that is financial stress. If I could stop getting jacked around by employers and get a steady job, I’d easily be at least a 7.

Like a 5, with a one point swing either way depending on Tottenham & A&M that week. During the summer my ceiling is a 5, baseline is probably a 3 or 4. Too hot for any joy.

Was at a constant 6.5 for a while. Then I found out the true meaning of being in a simulation and it went down to 4. Then figured I’d take control and now at a 8.5 for the last 4 years.

I’m about a 7 I guess. Married and I’ve been blessed with amazing adult children. I give my wife the credit for them.
I live by two sayings that help.
#1- don’t worry. Because 90%of the things you worry about don’t happen and the other 10% that do, you can’t do anything about them anyway.
#2- Stay present. Thinking about the past causes depression. And thinking about the future causes anxiety.
I find those two small things help me stay present and anxiety free.
Now would I like to be out there free wheeling and smashing younger hot chicks? Yes and that would make me a 10.5 out of 10.

Everything is exceptional except money stress. If i were money-stress-free, it'd be a solid 10.

About the same time frame my kids were coming of age I was able (financially) to disconnect from the hustle.
Once you realize you have enough income/savings to live comfortably (it takes some time not to worry about it) the quality of your life will explode.
Money, the pursuit of it, really wears you down if you are grinding everyday.
Another thing. Health. Dont bust your arse during your working years only to arrive at the finish line in poor health.
Save money, pay down debt, go for a run.
During the hustle: 6 Post hustle: 9
