Courting the young lady (well, not really so young) who eventually became Mrs. Blueridge #3, I would travel from Asheville NC to Dallas every few weeks - sometimes I'd drive and sometimes take SW Airlines out of Charlotte. She would occassionally fly to Asheville to see me.

Make sure you're on good terms with the girl first. A friend of mine's ex-bf called her up out of the blue a year or so after breaking up w/ her looking for a booty call. He drove from Nashville to Inverness (south of Bham). When he called her from his motel to let her know he had arrived, she told him to enjoy the drive back and hung up.
