When I lived in Alaska, you never knew what time the flight would be into Anchorage depending on weather and how many villages we were going to stop at to pick up other passengers, so you always had to leave a day early. I made the trip home for Christmas once, but after that I decided I would just do an extended trip over Thanksgiving (generally a little better weather) and then stay in AK for Christmas.

Yeah we flew to anchorage one year for Christmas. Through Seattle. With kids.

I have in laws coming in from Redondo Beach and Palos Verdes, California. Brother coming in from Washington DC area.

All coming to the middle of nowhere southeastern Oklahoma to have a wild arse time. Will do some deadsticking on Lake Texoma for stripers and maybe some deer hunting.

Thwn I'm heading out to Vegas for New Year's. Got a lot of stuff on my plate getting ready for this crap.
