Approx 45 minutes to Crystal Beach.

I hope you don’t mean Crystal Beach in Texas. That doesn’t qualify as “nice”.

The nicest beach I have ever been to is at Cheniere au Tigre ,South of Abbeville. Miles of private beach. No people.

Imagine brown stagnant water, seaweed, tar, flesh eating bacteria, and fat, drunk people with lots of tattoos everywhere.

Less than an hour from OBA. We probably go 1/2 dozen times in the spring and summer.

16 miles, 12.2 if I could drive straight south.

And how many times do you visit or year?

I work down there. So 5-7 days a week.

ETA: Gulf Shores/OBA region. We try and have as many fun beach days a week as we can. This summer has had more rain than usual, but this Saturday we are taking a tritoon out and hitting all the islands.

I mean...that could be anywhere from Dauphin Island to Cape San Blas, depending on the time you snap it.

Lots of vacations on the pristine beaches of Destin/SoWal have been altered by June grass. Just sayin...

5 hours from GS/OB Alabama. Never, can't stand the heat/humidity here in Lafayette, don't want to sit out in the sun all day, in sand no less. 90% of the people here love vacations to hot beaches on the Gulf, to each his own though. We rather fall/early winter in hilly/mountainous areas of the USA.

8.71 miles as the crow flies, to Laguna Beach, CA
We don't go as often as we should.
TRAFFIC SUCKS!
PARKING SUCKS, TOO!

We're both still working so that sucks too!

Depends on how you define "nice". There is a beach I like 5 miles away. For "nice" St. George Island is an hour drive.

I guess I visit the local beach around 75 times a year. It's the end point of a bike route and usually I just take a quick look and head back.

3 blocks, once summer hits I walk up daily, when the water gets to be a decent temp I will be in the ocean each morning
