Eta in all seriousness it is fun

Yes, except for the flower girl and ring bearer, whom get escorted out right after the ceremony and don’t attend the reception.

Whatever the couple wants, I don’t mind leaving my kid with a babysitter.

I'm apathetic, though I will say if your kid is causing a ruckus, take them outside. The amount of parents that let their kids go insane in non-park style public places is ridiculous.

I was a big fan of buying a truck instead of having a dusty picture book to look at once in 50 years.

There were no children at the filing of the paperwork.

So I suppose yes I am a fan.

I'm honestly not sure I have ever noticed a difference in weddings with or without children.

did you at least wear your nicest real tree print shirt and church jeans to the court house? Did they make you take off your Earnhardt Sr. Ballcap when you raised your right hand?

Do what you want, but don't get pissy when normal people decline.

I'm engaged and have zero plans to have an actual wedding. City Hall works just fine for us, and I like thinking of all the other things we can do with the money we save. I'm a lady and consider myself extremely lucky to be able to make decisions that fall in line with what I want for myself instead of what is expected of me.

I DO want to have a party with some of our friends and family back home, and I think I'm okay with kids as long as the parents are responsible in terms of not letting them run amok. We're at an age where most of our friends and siblings have kids, so I would hate for anyone we love to miss out because they can't get a sitter. It would be super informal, late afternoon anyway, so it's not like a toddler meltdown would ruin the mood.

Yeah same. But I don’t know a bunch of trashy frickers who will let their crying, whining, etc. kids ruin the actual wedding. And I’m too busy getting drunk and dancing afterwards to notice them.

You get that you want a wedding celebration, just no ceremony

I let me wife plan our entire wedding. This was the only requirement I had. Pissed off my brothers and sisters in law. I told them they could blame me. No regrets. FWIW, they had a better time not having their kids in tow.
