Couple things:

Great way to start your marriage by both of you being douche bags to family and friends

Guess both of you are big on cash only presents

I was in a friend’s wedding, my daughter was not even a year old, so we brought her. Not that many other kids at the wedding. My friend and his wife had no issue, but a chick made a snide comment about ‘bringing a kid to a wedding’ in front of my wife.
Her future husband ditched her after the reception to bone a bridesmaid. lol

Mine was. Flower girl and a couple teenage cousins were the only folks under 20. Was a hell of a good time in the FQ.

Then the offended party just shouldn’t go. It’s really no big deal either way. If the wedding party doesn’t want kids, and you can’t find a sitter, then politely decline. Getting offended over that is kind of pathetic.

I had cousins who didn’t attend ours because they have kids. No hard feelings.

My parents left me with my grandparents or a sitter plenty of times. Don’t see why that would be a big deal

So our wedding had two babies crying during the ceremony. It was annoying.

We also ended up having to pay $$$ per child for the food. That was annoying.

But it comes with the event.

Life is annoying.

Well yes, I think the pendulum swings both ways on this one.

To the invitee: your presence is requested, but not required. It’s their wedding and if they don’t want kids there, that’s entirely up to them. If you can’t make it due to that fact, so be it. You won’t be missed.

To the invitor: I know you feel like your special day is more special than every wedding in human history, but it’s not. Some people will not be able to attend or drop everything for you. Get over it.
