Great way to start your marriage by both of you being douche bags to family and friends

That’s how it comes across to me as well

From a financial standpoint, usually kids count towards the cost per person, so having 10-15 kids can add up. From that standpoint I can understand why it's worth mandating.

I guess, I don’t understand spending much on weddings anyways but whatever. I didn’t read the OP meaning a financial issues but if that’s what it is then ol. I read as in they disturb me I don’t want them around, and I’m sure if you put no kids on the invite that’s how it would come across to anyone not I’m trying to save a few bucks.

Things can have more than one purpose. For example, Reddit both creates new content and simultaneously gives you recycled content to start terrible threads with here.

One or two kids are certainly allowed at weddings to make cute pics. The rest can stay with babysitters

Didn't invite kids, but didn't explicitly say no kids. The nature/timing strongly implied it wasn't really kid-oriented, although we had probably 5-10 kids that were coming (family).

2 or 3 couples asked us very respectfully if they could bring their small kids for various legit reasons, and of course we said absolutely. We informally asked some other friends about it (knowing they might see a few other kids and wonder why not theirs) and the general response was "why in the hell would we want to bring our kids"

Do what you want, but a lot of your invites with kids won't come.

The order of operations I was taught had you get married before you had children, so like NORMAL?

If people spent half the time working on their marriage as they do their wedding, people wouldn't be so miserable.
