That’s completely incorrect. The heart is muscle. Muscle improves in performance and longevity with exercise and proper use

But what about speeding up your heart rate for one hour a day, so that your resting heart rate the other 23 hours a day is lower than it would be?

e.g.

+50 beats/minute for 60 minutes = 3,000 (extra) beats

result

-5 beats/minute for 23 hours= 6,900 (less) beats

All mammals get about 1 billion heartbeats per lifetime. Those with faster metabolisms like the mouse use up their "allotment" far faster than mammals with slow metabolic rates, as with elephants.
