It depends. Some places have waaaaaay too many handicapped spots. The entire county’s handicap population would have to be at my local Kroger at the same time to fill them all. Now, at Home Depot, there are probably too few.

nothing wrong.................The wife is parapelligic, polio, rides a scooter and finds that it is a crap shoot regards weither the handicapped toilet is occupied or not. Waiting turn is okey, but there's a lot of women that use the toilet seat for long cell phone conversations. My approach after an extended wait is to open the door and holler loudly if the wife is okey, needs help.

I see it all the time especially at convenience stores such as RaceTrac etc, and to be honest it's mostly people of color.....

People resent being called out for their trashiness.

I do not believe in the government requirement of handicap spots especially given the very low threshold for getting a handicap tag. I believe private businesses should have the right to choose. However, that is the law and I will follow it. I’m not taking time out of my day to report anyone.

Or you have people like my dad who has a handicapped plate and blue hangar but on days he feels like he can make that walk he doesnt park in a handicapped spot.

It’s always either a Caddy or Charger. You know the rest

During chemo, we parked in handicap spots sometimes.
I wish someone woulda been a jerk about it, I was wound up anyway.
You never know someone's circumstances.
Unless you're sure, keep you mouth to yourself.

95% of people with handicapped tags to include veterans do not have disabilities that preclude them from walking an extra 20-30 feet once in a while. Whole thing is a scam for the lazy and entitled

Laziness is epidemic. Lazy arse people fear having to walk an extra 50'.
I assume they also use the scooters in the store, and smell like a cellar of rotten onions.

You have to be a real a-hole to park in a handicapped space when you are not handicapped.

I had open heart surgery.
Never asked for a tag.
It is good to be able to walk.
Even slowly.
Most people at work at the hospital who park in them are fat with uncomfortable shoes on.
I’ve seen maybe 2 employees in wheel chairs. Vast majority are obese.

My driver’s ed teacher used to say “There’s a special place in hell for people that illegally park in handicap spots.”
It’s one thing from high school that really stuck. (Some of you here may know who I’m talking about)

I have seen a revenge video where someone without the blue card or handicapped license plate was parkd in a handicapped spot at a Wal Mart. The prankster surrounded the car with shopping carts and tied them together with tie wraps.

quote:Nobody has way too many. They have the exact amount of spaces they are required to by law. The only ones that have more than required are places that expect more handicapped people - like medical places and Walmart.
Some places have waaaaaay too many handicapped spots.
The real problem is the 10-20 spaces saved for pickup/online orders. Those are never used and pickup should have been moved to the side of buildings where no one parks.
