At one time I had 3 good size dogs running the yard during the day when I was home or penned when I was away.

I'd fill a 5 gallon joint compound bucket every 2+ weeks, slap the lid on it and put it out for trash pickup when full.

Most dogs, when healthy have 3+ bowel movements a day and if you have dogs in the 50-70 lb. range, that's a lot of dog shite a day.

I usually scoop it into a Wal Mart bag along with a big pack of Black Cat firecrackers. Then I tie up the bag with the fuse sticking out and put it on my a-hole neighbors doorstep, light the fuse and haul arse.

If it was my own yard, I'd buy a pooper scooper and find someplace for it to degrade in peace, but I have to walk my dog.

None of my neighbors appreciate bio-degradable scat as much as I do.

4 pages and nobody has figured out to leave it near the roadside and spray over it with some liquefied fish guts so the rest of the neighborhood dog walkers have their animals roll all through it and take it home.

I really don't mind responsible dog people. You know, the ones that keep their dogs on a leash when out and pick up their crap when they drop it all over the place.

I was on my front porch one day and a guy comes walking along with 2 dogs on leashes, one proceeds to drop a load on my lawn right next to the sidewalk and the guy starts to lead them away because he didn't see me on my 2nd floor porch.

I chime up to let him know I don't have a dog because I don't like picking up dog crap, and I especially don't like picking up other people's dog crap. He apologized and said he didn't have any bags, so I went inside and got him a couple plastic grocery bags and he picked up the crap.

He walks his dogs every day past my house and I've not had another pile of crap in my yard since. Just speak up if you see that going down, or you'll wind up playing "Pooper Scooper" for other people's dogs.

I have a 24x24 hole 6 ft deep in the back corner of my yard that i scoop it in, along with other random trash here and there. frick mowing that shite over, or picking it up in bags, got a garden rake and a ground scoop.

I'd have a heart attack digging something that deep in my heavy clay soil. Besides, about 2 ft. down and the hole starts to fill with water here in N.O.

Every post hole I've dug for trellis supports 4 x 4's found me just putting the post in the hole then dumping an 80 lb. bag of concrete mix bone dry, level the post and it would set overnight.

When I first started my back yard into a garden plot for vegetables it took me over a week to turn over as 20 x 50 ft. plot and then truckload after truckload of composted material and other soil amendments to make it workable.

Depends on the dog, diet and grass. Lots of dog shite will burn grass and make a nice little yellow spot if left. Generally though, it isn't fertilizer.
