Was just having a conversation of which Emergency Room to get to in, well, an emergency.

Is one better for trauma versus cardiac?

BRG/Bluebonnet

Ochsner/Oneal Lane

OLOL/Essen Lane

OLOL/Walker

St. Elizabeth/Gonzales (since I'm in the AP)

Am I missing any?

OLOL BR is defined as a Level I trauma center, so in sever trauma that would be the place to go.

BRG Bluebonnet would be my choice for cardiac care or any care other than a major trauma actually.

Not for trauma, not at all

If you get in a bad car wreck, you want to go to OLOL and it isn’t close really

For other elective events it depends on your doctor/surgeon

General is by far the nicest clientele, but if your laying almost dead with your life on the line I don’t think you give a shite about that

I’ve had nothing but bad experiences at Ochsner O’Neal.

I think OLOL is the only Level 1 Trauma Center.

I'd pass all the others to be treated at OLOL/Essen Lane.

BR General is #1 for me but I guess OLOL on Essen would rank #1 for trauma since they are basically the charity hospital so they see it all.

OLOL really does suck but, like others have said, if you're down to the white meat showing then it's where you wanna be. Now if you've got pneumonia, flu, something that's got you hating life but not on the edge of life, then anywhere is better than the experience of the OLOL er.

I trained a lot of the OLOL Docs or trained with them so I won't say anything else. But Oschner is the worse. Back about 8 years ago ER Docs "productivity" part of the Salary part was linked to Press Ganey Scores. And when the Patient didn't get their Lortab, Xanax and/or Soma the doctor was "rude" and they would give them a low score and affect their pay.

BRG Bluebonnet experience full of medical students and lack of patient communication that lent to misdiagnosis and death of family member and unbelievable blunder in how death was communicated (not) to family members.

Perhaps a one off. Hope so.

If this ER is health backstop, recommend getting healthy now.
