Don't babies have to eat every 2-3 hours? Your kid was going 8 hours without a feeding??
It depends on the size of the baby. Smaller babies usually need to be on stricter schedules. The little meatball babies can last through the night quicker. It’s all about total ml per day. You can adjust feeding schedules throughout the day to push through the night usually right around 2 months.

You love your child when they are born, but you get to fall in love with them. It’s special. When they do everything for the first time like laugh and walk and say “dada” it makes everything worth it.

Holding my son for the first time in the delivery room was the first and only time in my life when absolutely nothing else mattered and everything just seemed right. In an instant everything changed and it wasn’t about me anymore. I always look back to that moment when things are tough raising him, but the good by far outweigh the bad. Congrats!

Your time is not your own.

What’s the best and worst thing about being a father? My first child is due in 2 months and I have been counting the days.
I got serious about my own potty training and kept that promise to her.

The worst thing is that you're emotionally vulnerable and worry about them frequently, especially when you hear about terrible things happening to other kids.
Yeah, my biggest fear is something happening to one of my kids. Second biggest fear is something happening to me. Not because I’m necessarily afraid to die, but because I can’t imagine not being able to watch my girls (3 yrs and 6 months) grow up.

Unconditional love is a thing... And you don't know it until he or she comes out of the womb. Hard to explain. That's all I got.

I divorced soon thereafter.
Greatest decision I've ever made.

If babies need to eat they won’t sleep through the night. They cry when they’re hungry. It’s not that hard
Randy slept 4 hours at a time at 4 weeks then 8 hours at 8 weeks
There are things you can do to help this

Second I saw my son was the first time I knew that I was going to die.

And?
I don't care if she did or didn't.

I remember that feeling when my boys were small. It takes both parents to have a good family.
However, I have similar feelings now. My sons are in their forties, four grandchildren ages 10-16. A couple years back I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I told the Doc I was not too concerned with death. I have had a great life. I only regret hurting my family if I should pass. I have a great relationship with my grandchildren and hope to see them graduate from college one day. I had a good response to the treatment so I will probably get my wish.
So happy and rewarding that we decided to have children. They are here celebrating the 4th as I type.

No sleep for months...will seem like forever. You might think you will die from lack of sleep. Help your wife and share the night time feedings 50/50... unless you want her to resent you forever. Cherish every moment, every milestone, because they’ll be over before you know it.
