Lost all my freedom, marriage went to shite, always tired. I find myself staying at work late just to avoid the hassle of home life.
On the bright side once they get to the age where they can communicate and learn stuff there are some good times but your life is pretty much over. Don't worry though once you have kids you'll have regularly scheduled family pictures to make sure everyone else thinks you are happy.
Wow that’s depressing!

Just the facts. I'd say half the people I work with prefer work or deploying to staying at home but they all play the game and keep up the front.

Yeah almost a thousand a month is not cheap.
It's not. But you also don't want to pay less. These people are watching your child full time.
We have a great day care now that actually teaches children instead of placing them in front of a tv like the one we had in BR did. So I'm not opposed to cost. It is expensive though.

I don't remember how my life changed, but I know when that baby comes out, it's the most powerful feeling in the world.

The love for your child will be like no other. And enjoy the little moments because they grow up fast.

I learned a simple truth: if your wife's tits put out, the house is happy.
If they are stingy, the house is hell until you cave and go formula.

There is nothing wrong with formula. Even if they have it from the beginning.

Agreed, but try convincing any woman under 30 without bolt ons to start that way.

Wtf y’all buying these kids?
My 4 month old has a dairy and soy allergy. I'm paying $700/month for hyperallergenic formula. Our birthing hospital bill was close to 10k out of pocket for emergency c section and 5 day stay due to complications. A second surgeon we had, that we didn't request, was out of network. He sent us a 3.5k bill insurance isn't covering. I'm fighting that one. We had to re-admit wife via emergency room 7 days after leaving hospital due to blood pressure and swelling. 2.5k there.
That said I would pay it all again every time he smiles at me.

My wife had an emergency c section too. I don't remember it being that expensive but maybe I've blocked the billing experience from my memory

You think you love your kids which I do very much but man grandkids are on another level. I’ve got two grandkids and we can’t get enough ballgames and trips with them

I'm sure you've done this, but you've talked to your Pediatrician? I think sometimes super specialty formulas are covered by insurance.
Your pediatrician would have to write a prescription for it
