A media monopoly. And it is used to drive the chosen narrative.

Social media being a stick. Poking at festering sores in this country. Some we may not have even known were festering.

Dehumanizing of people. Deplorables, N-Bombs, Dindus (other code words), Trump voter (this has been demonized). I know MANY Trump voters. I think IMHO a con man played them, but I don’t think, scratch that, I KNOW they aren’t evil people.

There should be a national mandate for people to talk WITHOUT raising your voice. We don’t have that anymore.

Poke holes in my points and downvote away.

I know this place is chok full of Trump voters. I disagree with most but would have a beer with nearly all of them still. Maybe we stop talking politics. Which is another problem. Politics and following politics has become recreation and a hobby for some. Not just self educating.

Two things - most recent President Obama getting involved in local incidents involving police officers. He had little knowledge of the issue and started fanning the flames that would divide people based on emotions instead of facts. Prior to that the media had been using identity politics since Reagan painting republicans as cruel and un feeling monsters and liberals as caring.

I am mainly talking about how quick people are to stop buying a certain brand or stop shopping at a certain place because that company or a person who is associated with that company said/did something they don't agree with.

On the politics board someone claims they are done with Newsmax and will never watch again because some guy left an interview with that My Pillow guy. These are people who don't watch Fox anymore because they evidently called the presidential election early or some bullshite.

Personally, I think its entertaining to see people get so pissed off about things that at the end of the day.. Doesn't mean frick, but when did all of this start? Is it something that has always been a thing, but we hear it more because of social media or is it something that has increased over the years?

Quite honestly, this is simply people exercising their own choices, regardless if you identify with it or not.

What you should be concerned with is how fast this country morphed from a country that believed in diversity of opinion, and the right to speak it freely into a country that now embraces singular thought and speech, and has brown shirt minions at every corner enforcing the new collectivist mindset.

This should scare the living shite out of you, but apparently NOT????

Everyone can dissect this comment and find many problems that the OP is trying to touch on.

But to answer your question, NO. I don’t want to talk to you about the destabilization of our nation with you. I don’t know you. Are you employed by the NSA. Or any other agency who is in the know? Or are you just a guy who watches his own flavor of MSM? You can’t see the irony of openly talking about a destabilized government in a sports bar? Will we be bombed while having a drink? Will communists listen to our conversation and have us lashed in a public square?

When that happens I will be on here saying “you’re right I am wrong. “

I'll tell you how stupid people are...we had a guy that used to work for the company I work for and 1 of his pictures on fb had him in a company uniform. He was pro-Trump guy and let it be known on fb.

Some black chick goes on Google reviews or whatever it's called and tells people not to do business with us because we are racists. The guy's been gone for 5 years.

Never said that. Unless you are pointing to my talk without yelling comment?

If you can’t talk without yelling or throwing out the term “Nazi”? The problem lies within you.

Every time those in the ruling class are worried that turnout for the "correct" candidate might be low, their media drones push some kind of election year wedge issue designed to divide and scare the populace. There's always a race angle to it.

This is Washington DC bullshite spilling out into main street USA, and I fricking hate it.

We have to stop letting this happen. Basically we have to ignore it completely.
