I remember when NOBODY knew who voted for who. Companies would absolutely not take a side. Most adults would keep their political opinions to themselves and vote in private and keep it private.

The old adage was never discuss religion and politics. We need to get back to that. Americans are incapable of having discussions on these subjects.

You and people like you. As much shite as you get on this site you're fairly representative of the average American intelligence.

I am mainly talking about how quick people are to stop buying a certain brand or stop shopping at a certain place because that company or a person who is associated with that company said/did something they don't agree with.

Social Media and the internet
And smart phones. Having news/information at your fingertips 24/7 is convenient but not necessarily a good thing. It allows people to constantly be occupied with everything, good and bad, going on in the world. Once upon a time, people only focused on the news when they read the newspaper in the morning or watched the evening news. If it was something really important, then the news or radio would do a breaking report. Nowadays, it’s constantly in the forefront.

It is seriously funny that yall really believe this. This thread has made me realize I have a lot of real estate in people's head on this board.

society has rejected the OP ,,its why he has no friends
Social Media has allowed those rejected to have a disproportionately loud voice ... its the same across all the platforms just look at the stupidity that get the most attention on twitter and what 4% are active on twitter?
that's a gross imbalance

Someone mentioned the Dixie Chicks. That is the first example I can remember of someone "getting canceled" because they made their political views public.
That was before social media, but that might have been a result of 24/hr news coverage.. I don't remember.. So with that said, I think some blame should go to some of these networks that are 24/hr news that need content. CNN, Fox, etc.

This is exactly what you have advocated for, and voted for. You just aren't bright enough to make the connections.

I'll send out a group text later to let my close friends know that they have to stop being friends with me because someone on a message board told me I had no friends.

I know. Can you please put it in layman's terms for me because I am so confused right now.

Earliest i remember is when it started with the Dixie Chicks

Its a big part of the problem.
This has been a 60 year struggle to destroy liberalism and put us on a path to progressivism. Social media just sped the process up.
Liberalism is dead.

"I hate cancel culture"
a few minutes later...
"I am never watching/buying/shopping at ______"

if real estate equals calling out your disingenuous bullshite on a regular basis Chris, yes you own a lot of real estate here. A prime example is how you want to talk shite about the Poli board shite all day long, but will never bring up the crazy shite the Left.
How’s your President doing so far in your opinion? Which of the 40 some odd EO’s has personally helped you or anyone in Middle America?
