Good technique to stab people who post on social media about the way you eat with a fork.

I've known 3 people eat like the Never. 2 spent several years in the Marines, and 1 spent over a decade upstate. As another poster stated, speed and volume was key for all 3

The Down the Bayou grip is a modified version of the left photo where thumb is extended on side of utensil. Amazes me the number of educated and successful coonasses that eat like that; they DGAF.

Anyone who uses the method on the left also pulls their paints down all the way at urinals.
Always, to prevent splash back on my khakis.

You have to lean forward over the plate more. Shortens the delivery time and keeps the stains off your wife beater.

I use the "fist-grip". I grew up in a poor but big family. Once you grabbed your pile of food, you needed to be ready to protect it at all costs. I had to learn to punch my cousin-daddy real quick like or he'd take my food. Growing up in rural Alabama was rough.
Also called the Alpha/Viking grip.

What a made up load of shite. If you actually grew up in Alabama you'd know it was cousin-pa. Only yankees use the term cousin-daddy.

I've known two highly intelligent guys who do this. One is an engineer, the other a project manager. It astounds me that no one ever taught them how to hold a fork like an adult.
Funny you mention this. I've been watching the Big Bang Theory again and almost all of the characters have similar awkward grips, Amy in particular. They're supposed to be so smart but can hold a fork properly.

That's why they lost the war. Too much worrying over trivial shite. This is a fight, not finishing school.
This isn't a fight, baw, it's dinner. Hold your fork and knife properly.

The left is the way I hold my fork.
I can't help it. People have been correcting me for years since I was a child. Trying to hold it "proper" like the guy on the right feels terribly uncomfortable and unnatural for me.
