How can we get people to understand what the left lane is for on interstates?

Start pulling people over? Flashcards for kids? I'm tired of cultcha and others just riding along for miles in the passing lane without a clue.

Remove speed limits . I like to pass quickly , but I promise you , the cop that pulls me over for doing 95 in a 70 because he shot his radar at me at that moment , won't accept my passing excuse.

IN Virginia they could strictly enforce the left lane is for passing and slower traffic keep right signs. But then people will bitch about cops doing their job by enforcing traffic laws.

There was a frat boy in his early 20s going 75 in the left lane the other day. Did not move over for anyone. 100% doing that shite on purpose. Should be a jailable offense as you're making an already dangerous highway 10x more dangerous by making people pass you because you refuse to move over

As a society they play by the rules (by & large).
That's why, by and large, German humor & music is nicht güt.
They, as a society, don't color outside the lines real well.
Not complaining, it's a wonderful place and the folks there are cool.
(I look like one of them and try to speak their lingo when there, that helps in what they think of me and act towards me)

or just enforce minimums. Lousiana drivers seem to have two speeds, 15 over or 10 under. There is no cruising at 75 in the right lane on I-10.

The left lane is obviously part of reparations to a certain group judging from my 11 hour drive from BR to NC on Wednesday.
I have to thank a trucker for his maneuver that let me get past a large black female during that drive. He saw her parked in the left lane not letting me by and must have noticed me riding her bumper. He turned on his left turn signal and she got scared and finally sped up and moved to the right lane letting me by.

Typically when traffic backs up on the interstate it seems to be due to one 18 wheeler trying to pass.

Last weekend I watched a truck on 190 cruising in the left lane get aggressively tailgated by another car.
It was clear to pass on the right, but the car proceeded to use the left turn lane to pass the truck and then brake check them.
The whole sequence was moronic and completely irresponsible by both parties.

What I want to know is, are those people ignorant of the concept of what the left lane is for? Or do they just not care? How do you not notice the stack of 10 cars building behind you??

After we finally get people to realize what the left lane is for, we'll have to start the new campaign on how to use cruise control. That way we won't have to pass the same person 14 times during one road trip.
