He also dropped a bunch of nets on a poor populace with substandard education whom also need to, ya know, eat. That substandard education doesn't mean dumb but it does mean resourceful.
So the main point stands. Rich white man tries to "help" the poor African folk and ends up fricking things up worse.

Exactly. They’ve been around malaria so they have developed genetic defenses against it.

Agreed the guys hunting grounds for little boys is Africa. All that nonsense is just a ploy to groom little boys.

He is indeed a total parasite, an utterly worthless human being.

Anyone defending this guy, people need to take notice.
If you look at his history, he’s never invented anything in his own right. He’s simply bought other people’s ideas and slapped his name on patents. The exact same thing Edison did.

As already said, this is a great example of the law of unintended consequences. Gates cannot be blamed for any of this. Primitive, ignorant people unable to help themselves are given a lifeline. They are too dumb and too corrupt to do anything with it except abuse it. The people handing out those nets are responsible for what is done with them. It seems apparent they are choosing to give them to fishermen.

He provided them mosquito nets to solve a serious problem. They are actively and intentionally misusing those nets, resulting not only in the original problem not being solved, but in a new problem being developed.
Yeah I don’t blame Gates for this. Except that maybe we should all stop trying to “help” these primitives bc it’s a waste of money and effort.

He is indeed a parasite, a totally selfish, worthless human being who traffics in the misery he personally causes.

Making a fishing net is trivially easy, and considering that population hadn’t already starved, they clearly knew how to make them. Making mosquito nets is comparatively very difficult. If you hand someone something they can’t make, and they use it for an unrelated purpose in place of something they can make, stain on them for taking the lazy way out. Pretending like it’s some indictment on the person or organization that tried to help to begin with is silly. Now, if they continue shipping them mosquito nets knowing this is what they are doing with them, then stain on them as well.

There is an easy solution - just give them fishing nets too.

Dude very inconspicuously mumbled at the end that is what had been done in 2018 to solve the problem!
All of that drama-filled rant was faux outrage!
