Seems like it. I’ve bought too much dip.

This has all the markings of a future Bankruptcy filing with penny stock status.

From all indications the Neon needed (in Ukraine) to manufacturer the Semiconductor chips will be significantly reduced until at least 2026 and even then there isn’t enough to make 200k electric cars a year globally.

I had someone in my office a few weeks ago talking about George Soros this and George Soros that like some kind of booger bear. Pretty sure ole baw never finished high school. He couldn't pick Soros out of a lineup and never heard of him until he got a chain email or saw something about him on Facebook.

Judging by your post, it looks like he knows about George Soros and you don't.

Perhaps Mr. Perdue would prefer to wait for a major economic development opportunity provided by the object of his political affection and the recipient of his admiration and subservience - Donald J. Trump. Trump U. and Trump Steaks might find a new home and bring prosperity to the Peach State.

Purdue is a fricking hack. He's the head of the arrow Trump has decided to point at Kemp for not helping him overturn a definitive Biden win in the state. Purdue will say anything to create a divide between he and Kemp, all while feeding into the beliefs conspiratorial lunatics to keep them engaged and fired up. Purdue is courting the PoliBoard type of voters and thinks it'll be enough to win him a statewide election. Needless to say, Kemp is slaughtering him in the polls.

We have open primaries here in GA. I'll be casting my vote for Governor Kemp in the GOP primary. I can't stand the guy but he's far and away the better option.

Some fear the factory will contaminate the groundwater. Others disapprove of the lucrative public incentives being offered to Rivian. Many worry the huge facility will change the area’s bucolic character, increasing light pollution, snarling traffic and spurring more development.

There’s lots of arguments to make against electric vehicles but the criticisms made here seem weak.

Public incentives for new car factories have been around for decades and no one balked until this one was for electric vehicles.

We in Louisiana have no room to speak when talking about letting plants contaminate our environment.

I mean, part of the state elected that Majorie Green quack.

MTG's district is in the northwest corner of the state. This factory will be built near the middle of the state.

It's an election year. Kemp has a solid challenger in the primary and may have a solid challenger in the general. He paints this as a big feather in his cap, one that brings in about 7500 jobs to a mostly rural area east of Atlanta. His challengers, in both parties, can't abide by him getting credit for anything.

It will dramatically change the largely rural area. That much is no surprise. It's touted as a $5 billion project. The jobs Rivian will bring in are only part of the total jobs that will be created.

Metro Atlanta used to build GMs and Fords. Those plants closed. Now we have Kia and, soon, Rivian, one south of Atlanta, near Alabama, the other to be in the center of the state.

My only question is can Rivian pull it off?

So far, i am for the factory.
My biggest concern are whispers of eminent domain. If people dont want to sell land needed for the huge factory, i am not in favor of them being forced. Free country and all.

Without eminent domain nothing of any size would be built in this country.

Absolutely agree. Laws regarding the use of ED need to be made to clearly define appropriate use. Taking someone’s land away from them in order for another private citizen to profit is an abuse of power

Not sure what qualifies as economic development but last I remember construction of units 3 and 4 at plant Vogtle was pushing 27 billion dollars....and still counting.

I dont agree with little people being muscled out by government for big people.

I can excuse it for roads, utilities, and government buildings. But not robbing Mark to pay Matthew. It is tyranny of the rich.
