Those type of schools get those slightly above avg kids of rich jet setting parents who neglected to dare to parent.
Prediction: High Point U will have more date rape chemicals in their chemistry labs per capita than most universities.

The $40k they referenced is for room and board. This does not include tuition

Sounds like a school where rich Southern kids who couldn’t get into the Ivy League or Vandy would go.

My friend with money sent his kid there. He said it’s more conservative and traditional. That was his reasoning.

They have a free ice cream truck that drives around campus, which is awesome
I have to commute to class rather than live on it, but I swear someday I’ll be back to living on campus full time. Love me the campus life vibe.

High Point doesn’t have anything on Madison. Really high on my list of college towns with the best campus vibe.

A sorority sister’s son will be graduating from there in May. She’s a lawyer for Goldman, so $$$$, but also woke as shite. I have no idea how he wound up there.

Aren’t you supposed to just coddle these executives and be supportive in everything they say while kissing their arse so deep that you need a towel to wipe your face afterwards.
I wonder if they get a real executive to teach that course. It should be called Speech 369 - Executive Arse Kissing in a Plane.
Why so salty? You must’ve got passed over for a promotion when you showed the VP you weren’t a “team player”.

Preppys are associated with the left? I really don't know, I would have assumed preppy would be associated more with the right.
When I think preppy I am thinking.. fraternity types. Is my assumptions wrong?

Rich people grow up with a feeling of, I’m not quite sure how to put this, but being better than others, so many feel the need to give back. So they end up overcompensating and envisioning a world that doesn’t really exist. Sort of like communists do. This is why there are so many wealthy leftists that are worried about shite like the name of the Atlanta braves and think reparations would solve race relations.
In the south we have a sense of tradition and the wealthy were always more conservative so this has passed on and these traits don’t quite exist to the Same extent as the rest of the nation but it still exists.
