I agree with you, however, every gas station in Houston is two blocks from another gas station. Somehow they all make money.

I think he's got the business model figured out.

worth $700M. Meet the head of BrakeTime Corner Market.
Houston-based BrakeTime has about 300 c-stores, yet it’s one of the lesser known brands in the industry. Its top exec — a celebrity in Pakistan — wants to change that.
quote:
Despite his many ventures, Bashir claims that BrakeTime — which he co-owns alongside his older brother and president, Omair — is the “bread and butter” of his $700 million net worth. Besides its c-store operations, BrakeTime also supplies fuel from Shell, BP and Valero to c-stores.
quote:
the company only had about five c-stores in 2014 when he joined the business, which his father founded in 2004. Today, its roughly 300 c-stores include 220 company-operated and around 80 dealer locations, yet the company has flown under the radar among U.S. retailers for years, which Bashir pinned to a lack of marketing.
But even having achieved steady growth over the past decade, Usman Bashir is shooting higher, with ambitions to to reach 1,000 BrakeTime stores across the U.S. at some point in the future.

It's barely more than 100 years old.

Demolishing a historic landmark to put a gas station on it. That is Houston in a nutshell.

Foreigners tearing down a historic mansion to build a gas station is completely on task for Houston.

New owners are simply assholes.
They bought it and demolished in 4 weeks.

Although community members, preservation groups like Preservation Houston, and descendants staged a vigil and pushed to salvage historic interiors (such as hand-carved oak staircases and sweet gum wood paneling), the new owners moved forward quickly.

If I ever find myself on that side of Houston, I'm gonna completely demolish that gas station bathroom.

I think history should be preserved when reasonable but some famous people visited it, it's not like they wrote The Constitution there. Anyone could have bought it but these Pakis beat everyone to the punch. Doesn't matter, that part of town is crappy anyway.

Because the world needs another convenience store selling tobacco, vape, and Kratos. There's a shortage right now.

The building was previously used as a DWI law office for Gary Trichter. He moved on to the Heights. Nothing really historical about it after he converted it to a law office.

At least whenTony Buzzbe bought the mansion next door to him to tear down to make a Pool House and Garden, he let Habitat for Humanity go in and take whatever they wanted to repurpose.

Moar gas stations is just what we need in Houston.
My understanding is a pause was put on issuing permits for new gas stations?
We already have too many gas stations inside the Loop.
Baw has to get his taquitos and White Monsters, man.
The permitting process modification is for gas stations that were within a certain number of feet of a residence.

The current use doesnt change the building’s history.

What is it with Indians and gas stations? Are they all raised over there to come over here and run them? Is there some gas station school there?
