Spring/Woodlands border here.

We haven’t lost. I feel bad for my friends/coworkers elsewhere but with a newborn we can’t afford to be apart of the rolling blackouts.

ABC13 said 700k Houstonians are now without power

In Pearland, haven't had power since about 2:00 am. Have two gas fire places going and it's still 55F inside.

Luckily one fireplace is in the master bedroom and that will be our (wife, 4 and 5 y/o, and myself) shelter for the night. Thermometer shows 75F in there.

This sucks but we are lucky we have this option.

Seems like it’s kinda random

I have a friend that lives in a midtown apartment that hasn’t had power all day but another buddy that lives across from Minute Maid never lost it.

Have friends in tomball and cypress that lost it and another friend in cypress that hasn’t lost it

My sister in Oak Forest still has hers and her best friend who lives like 4 streets over lost their power this morning

Haven't lost it yet in Spring/Woodlands area, but a few sections in our neighborhood closer to 99 lost power at 2 AM & are still without.

The misses is freaking out about us leaving our gas fireplace going all night. Not sure how comfortable I am either. It's fully vented so should be fine I would think.

Just heard from two friends that hadn't lost power but it just now went out. One in Friendswood, the other just north of the beltway.

We have the wood fire place going with beds in den...last I looked it was 67 degrees in the den....blankets over windows, towels on the bottom of doors and isolated the den with blankets over the hallway....working out pretty good.

My gas fireplace has been going non-stop since Sunday and we are still alive. Just make sure the chute is open. If you have had it on all day and haven't smelled gas yet, you are good to go.
