Not a bad place to ride out a flood situation.

Vidor, TX has gotten hammered again. Same people that just got back in their homes from Harvey are flooded again. On top of that the two schools they lost in Harvey. which haven't been rebuilt yet, now have another elementary school with flood waters in it.

Am I an idiot for hanging around the airport thinking I'm getting on a plane to IAH today?

My special United elite number has a 50 minute wait. I'm switching to American.

Downtown is pretty flooded, but besides some flooding at the entrance gate I think my house is good for the most part.

My headquarters is at San Felipe and Voss. A couple hours ago the office manager sent an email to everyone who parks on the ground level to go move their cars due to the garage starting to take on water. Then a subsequent email went out an hour later saying office closed for the rest of the day. I'm not there so they may just be trying to go hit happy hour.... The garage has not flooded in the past, who knows....

Just drove from North Park down W. Lake Houston Parkway to 1960. I’m in the truck I wouldn’t try it in a car

Stupid question, anyway I could get back to Baton Rouge from downtown? I’m thinking heading up to Shreveport is my only way.

Why didn't HISD close?

They are gonna catch so much shite for this. As is Katy ISD. Next weather event expect a huge over reaction. Inch and a half falls in channelview and everything is shutting down.

There are probably several thousand kids in school SAFE but with parents unable to get them out. Or you will have less that are in a school and you will have to send them to flooded homes.
