Drove to work from Pearland at 5am. I work near IAH airport. Building is flooding, JFK has high water, and ares east and northeast of here (Kingwood, Splendora, Beaumont) are flooding as well.

At first I thought that was some kind of gate. Then I realized it was the top of a stoplight

I'm at my client on Sweetwater lane, off Gulf Bank exit on 45 , stuck in parking lot....

High likelihood we will be sleeping in the warehouse tonight or here till 8pm at minimum ..all routes to feeder road are flooded + 5 cars washed out and left ..no way to get to 45 and there are about 350+ of us here.

My exits home ( Birnham Woods / Imperial Promenade) off 99 are flooded so cant make it to my house.

Rain is weird..will stop then start and feel like its going to break my windows.

Are you really getting into a pissing contest between Harvey and Imelda and which areas of Houston got it worse??

Those who don’t mind putting yourself in danger to go take flood pics for the OT would be greatly appreciated. I love destruction pics.

I’m by the AIG building and it’s been raining nonstop for 3 hours. We got our highest hourly rainfall count since the 2018 Fourth of July. However the roads are still drivable from what I can see. I imagine Westheimer and some other nearby roads aren’t nearly as passable.

I thought the worst was supposed to happen in Houston by Wednesday at midnight. From what I can tell, Pearland and Alvin probably got the worst so far, at least in the Metro area. We have been generally fine besides the exploding transformer. Still we have gotten 13 inches of rain in about 60 hours.

Family in Kingwood said flooding near KHS and HEB area. School, which was completely flooded from Harvey may have some water again, not sure how much. I assume that means KCC is as well. Family safe though in Bear Branch.
