Animated GRAPHIC presented by Houston Police Department

so rational enough to be able to have the aim and accuracy to shoot and injure multiple police officers, but not the rationality to figure out it was an organized police raid because you are cooking / selling drugs from your home?

right.....

The whole point of the no knock was to find black tar heroin in distribution. They found pot and what could or could not be a white powdery drug. Either way, not black tar heroin.

You're basically saying it's all worth it because they found pot.

For fricks sake man, read my post. Nowhere did I say it was all worth it because they found marijuana and a white powdery substance. All I did was respond to the post saying the white powdery substance was likely not even an illegal drug since they would have tested it at the scene. That's simply not true.

So....for the "he was doing what any man would do in this situation" crowd. How many people would you have to shoot wearing military style gear before you realized it was a police raid and not some criminal home invasion?

I think it's pretty crappy of you to judge the situation without going through it.

If he came from the back, and this was a no knock raid and a mass of people come in unexpectedly shooting your dog.. I just don't know what to think..

It's just terrible. I am not sure I even blame him. Not saying I would do the same, but that had to be incredibly scary. I am really not a fan of these types of raids for this situation.

I am sure if it was a "bang bang" situation.

It's easy to critique it all now.. but this was a very unexpected situation.. and if he was in the back.. perhaps he was oblivious to what was even happening.. and went into protection mode. Idk.. this just sucks so much. This doesn't seem like it was worth it.

Yes. Pointing and shooting requires little to no thought. Was this a serious post?

So where is the evidence?

I'm not saying anything definitive. I just think this looks bad and they are lucky these cops weren't killed.

No. It means it was an unknown white powdery substance.

Many departments have adopted a no field test policy in regards to powder substances due to the dangers of fentanyl.

How discreet could these guys have been? There were 18 of them. I assume they arrived in vehicles.

Do cops breaking down doors on no knock warrants typically not wear any ballistic protection?

jesus fricking christ. i'm done. why bother.

so, someone starts breaking into your house. you run to the back of your home, grab a weapon. Have the awareness and accuracy to shoot 4 targets at what i assume is a quick rate. Then shoot another moving target coming thru the door. But DON'T have the awareness to put 2 and 2 together on why they might be breaking into your home and that based on their military gear, weapons, and tactics that they are police officers? Nevermind the fact that these invaders likely had already yelled or shouted to the suspect in the front room that they were police and for her to stand down and remain still or whatever protocol is/was. I guess you still wouldn't have the awareness to pick up on that either.

hmmmm, i'm sure that'll stand up in court.

This is muscle memory dude. Have you ever fired a gun in your life? It's point and shoot at the bodies in front of you. As for accuracy, no one died so there's that.

It's called adrenaline, confusion, etc.

Well, for one I never said anything about that being a good defense in court. They'd be sent away for a long time most likely, and two, they're both dead so..

Maybe take a smoke break and calm down ffs.

I've been a part of 3 no knocks in my younger years (i.e. in the house being raided) 20+ years ago. All by EBRPSO. And they all did a good job of announcing their presence with authority and being clearly marked as officers.

2 of the 3 were for weed. But that's a different discussion entirely.

These military style raids get officers killed. Is this the only way to serve a warrant these days? High school kids, all the way to gang members, get that same . Its a shite policy.

fricking A it is. Ft bend County SWAT arrested a high schooler peddling pot to his friends. They roll up in an armored vehicle and he got the 5am flash bang grenade through the window and arrested. They even waited for the local news to show up so they could do the perp walk. What did they find? 1.5 ounces of weed and a gun.

You really needed all that to arrest a little shite head?
