Looking at getting the wife a hot tub for her bday. Trying to find places around town to go check them out. I've been to Splash on Siegen but that's it. Any recommendations or options I should check out?

Shoppers Choice carries them, at least they used to. They would have them fired up outside, you could go test them all out.

That actually looks like a legit good idea. If you aren't getting an in ground hot tub, I'd definitely do that waaaayyyy before an above ground.

I remember in college we thought about finding a used one for the back yard of the duplex we lived in. We had several offers of people willing to give us them for free if we'd go pick them up. I don't know why we never did, but it goes to show how many people buy them and realize they never use it and it's an eye sore in the back yard.

I'm about to post one on Craigslist that came with my house - free for anyone who will pick it up. That seems to be the going price.

Such an absolute pain the arse compared to how much you will use it. I even have mine inside a Gazebo on the back porch that's all nice and shite and still rarely use it.

i wont lie, i bought one at target during black friday for $250 and its LEGIT. keeps the water at 104 degrees year round and i just empty it every couple of months if the water starts looking bad. takes maybe 2 hours to completely refill.

also i put a little air in it about once every 6 months..takes about 5 minutes with the little hose they include.

You are also in a place that doesn't get very cold. On 20° nights, I'd love a hot tub.

incorrect. in nashville we got down into the teens during the winter and this lives in my screened porch and it stayed at 104 until we took the cover off.

that one in the pic above rolls up into a canvas bag you can throw over your shoulder & store in the garage when not in use.

fricking this. I couldn't give mine away either. Ended up having to cut it up with a chainsaw and throw it away. Never own one of those fricking things. Ever.

I had one in my back yard in college. Problem was that we weren't able to come up with the cash to wire that fricker in. We just filled it with water for parties, and emptied it after

Splash sells Artesian which is one of the higher end brands.

Sabine around the corner sells Hot Spring or Caledera which is the sister brand to Hot Spring. This is the most highly rated brand.
