Aw, SCRUF.

One of our best friends is an ER physician and lord the stories. Better now that he’s in Houston, but NOLA was insane from what he told.

Back to the OP, you really can refuse a discharge.

Hospitals may honor that, but some on occasion will become forceful.

Just curious. What’s her oxygen level and are you able to be there or are you getting info via phone? Have they not put her on the two meds so heavily discussed that are being tried?

In my mind if space and payment aren’t issues what can it hurt? Of course maybe home health is something she’d qualify for?

ETA maybe request physical therapy order if possible for while she’s there? That may help the getting around part.

Depends which echo chamber you subscribe to.

Apparently, after years (if not decades) of a secret cabal of scientists and media plotting in dark rooms to steal your rights and install a all powerful government hell bent of forcing you to share a bathroom with some alphabet soup person, they finally decided to tell some slight, slight version of the truth based on scientific data and factual observations.

How were any of us supposed to know this would be the ONE time? I know I’m shocked.

I dont know the specifics, other than that her oxygen is "fine" per the doc. There are no visitors allowed, so I get 1 call per day from the doctor, plus I call in myself to talk with the nurse 1-2 other times per day. She is on the z-pack, but not the other drug.

Since she is positive, they aren't able to send her to other facilities/departments such as for physical therapy... but apparently its OK to go home.

Were you the guy feeling down as he couldn’t really see much of his wife at this time? If so hope you’re better and if not we’ll then my apologies for asking.

Can the therapist not go to her room? And can you bring food to her via bringing it to the hospital and have them deliver it? I know it’s a stretch.

ETA how long has she been there?

I'm guessing they don't want to expose the physical therapy people to positive patients.

She wasn't eating our food prior to her admission, either.

She was admitted on Monday.
