Fevers will continue that itself is not an alarming thing. Body’s natural response. Discharge is based on the need for oxygen/ability to get worse.

The sooner your mom is home, the less chance she has of catching something in the hospital. Also, the fewer healthcare workers that have to be exposed directly.

If it were my mom and she was able to physically move, I would want her home ASAP.

Also IV fluids and IV anti biotics are useless especially in covid. With IV fluids being harmful.

Tell them to frick off. If she’s not in ICU they have plenty of beds.

No.

Stability does not imply improvement.

And I know ER Puff N' Scruff will agree that asymptomatic people can be infected and transmit to others anywhere, anytime.

AKA, I really hope OP's mother recovers and that everyone reading is very careful. If nothing else, for the older population.

Sorry to hear about your Mom. I hope she recovers and feels better soon. I would also be concerned if I were you. There have been plenty of people that were released from the hospital for this and shouldn’t have and they ended up dying.
Prayers sent for your mom and you.

I know you are worried sick...I would be if it was my mom. But when you really look at, she does not sound like she has any life-threatening symptoms at present. It sounds like the disease will just have to run it’s course. Be sure you get explicit instructions on what to look for if she worsens and what you need to be concerned about.

Do you not realize that you go off on complete tangents that have nothing to do with the thread you are posting in?

And that has what to do with the OP’s mother being discharged from a hospital?

You did the same thing in the “deaths per capita” thread.

You don't come off as a Surgeon or ER doctor. Gastroenterologist?

Pediatric ER

It’s why Scruffy has such a gentle demeanor.
