Do not want this to happen, get off your lazy arse and go give out candy. 
Halloween is for little kids from age 1 to 12. You can spare two hours in a year to see some little ones have a good time.

Saw the video... Well played whitey. Leaving that candy out there like a bait car waiting to catch a black person stealing it to make the entire race look bad. This is as racist a tactic as I've seen by whitey.

Also possible: as with my situation. I was out walking with my own kids through the hood whilst watching folks on my RING come to my house. One can talk through the RING doorbell without actually being home.

Taking small children out to trick or treat is more important than manning the door.
Amazingly, we left the bucket out and no one cleaned us out while we had the kids. Guess we just have a higher class of people in our mixed neighborhood.

Your result is more shocking to me than the OP.
If I left a bowl of candy outside with a camera monitoring, and if that bowl wasn't emptied into somebody's bag by the 4th or 5th group of unaccompanied kids, I would be amazed. I would shrug it off, and say "hey, I tried..."
The nauseating thing about the video is that it was trashy mom who stole all the candy.

We were 3 houses away from returning home from trick-or-treating when we saw a black girl (about 12-13yo) empty out our candy bowl into her bag and run back to their little white pickup truck. They were apparently driving around and only stopping at houses that left bowls out. We reviewed our security camera footage and saw that she actually took half the candy 8 minutes before that, and they came back for the rest right before we got home.

Someone leaves candy out unattended and someone takes it all? Noooooo. It doesn't make it right, but that's asking for it to happen.
I know there will be racist comments from people who are serious (it's easy to make a joke about it), this isn't something only black people do. You got white trash who have the mindset. They think that it is okay to do shite like this when it is from people who have more money than they do.

If I left out candy and saw someone stealing the whole thing, I am going out there and tell them they better bring the candy back and whoever it is.. White or black, I will say something that will trigger them to not go off and yell something back at me, have them cause a scene, tell people they stole candy then kind of back away from the situation and let the other people who turn on them, deal with them.
