Part of the reason why these places are so appealing is because there aren’t families with kids there.
I used to go with my dad when I was a kid. Kids meals served on a hooters Frisbee. Mom would always be well aware of where we ate when we came home

Some of the newer brestaurants are actually insane. A few the girls straight up wear the skimpiest lingerie.
I can’t figure out for the life of me how any family or woman goes to those restaurants. It has to be 99% creep dudes

When the one in Boca Raton reopened 15-20 years ago, it was all FAU students. The talent level was Playboy Mansion worthy. Haven't been in 10 years or so. I'm sure it's not the same.

Liberal white women got involved
I’m convinced that for most of them it’s driven by resentment and the desire to tear down the hot girl privilege they’ll never have.
So because they were born with a lesser hand and feel rejected by the men they would otherwise want attention from they want to tear down anything that reminds them of the game they lost during their formative years.

Always thought “Peckers” would have been a great companion franchise.
Woody Woodpecker as the iconic symbol; chicken salad place aimed at the ladies with televisions everywhere, with soap operas, Oprah, the View, etc.
Cute guys (gay?) dressed in tight shorts and tees.
You could put em next door to Hooters.
I think the problem with Hooters is the Karen’s never had a place of their own.

Given the preponderance of any type of porn, free and available to anyone who wishes to partake, in the US today it is a wonder places like Hooters and Twin Peaks are still swinging for the fences. At one time Hooters was not only titilating but the food and beer was actually decent...then Wings started being every where and beer is beer...the Hooters just up the street from Augusta National just closed this month and supposedly its going to be a Twin Peaks.....Id bet it doesn't last 2 years. The one we have

Their breaded spicy garlic wings are legit. I'd eat them over many of the other chains
We just discontinued that sauce too...

No. The problem with Karen's is themselves. They are miserable people and only want others to be miserable with them. They aren't happy unless you are miserable...and even then they aren't really happy. They aren't made that you have a place and they don't. They are mad, in general, that you have a place you like and draw their sense of self-worth from fighting for "victims" who don't feel they are victims at all and don't want these bozos fighting for them.
I like Hooters' wings. Hell, my wife and I will go occasionally. It's not a place I would take my young daughters, but Hooters, as it is, has a place in the restaurant world. If you don't like it, just don't go.

I hear their wings are good. You missed a sentence or two in your quote.

I have friends that regularly go to Hooters. They call College " Black Hooters" and Denham "White Hooters"
Not sure why?

I dont go into the city anymore unless it's to go on vacation (airport) or to buy hardwood lumber.
But every 2-3 months when I go to a city, I do still like to eat at Hooters. I like the baked wings with hot BBQ and the loaded tater tots.

Easy business model.
Why get away from that business model in the first place? Bud Light and Cracker Barrel are/were being run by idiots.

I've never seen one with the bikini style bottoms that they're mentioning
I saw them in Hoover this summer. I don't think I have ever seen the girls wearing them in BR. I'm not sure about Denham.
Hooters definitely isn't what it was 15 - 20 years ago. However, I think their wings, burger, and buffalo sandwich are still pretty good.
i think they will struggle trying to find waitresses today that fit their original business model. I think they have other opportunities to make money

“I don’t think you’re going to see a bunch of butt cheeks hanging out,” says Kiefer, chief executive officer of the Original Hooters Founder Group, sitting at a table at one of the Hooters he already owns near O’Hare International Airport.
That one is in a terrible location. Right next to about 8 lanes of expressway 30 minutes outside Chicago, five minutes short of O'hare, surrounded by nondescript office buildings. Kind of depressing and I cannot imagine the talent in there would make me want to eat.
