But for some reason do.

Every time I get a cough that keeps me up, I do what my grandmother did and put vicks vapor rub on the soles of my feet and put on socks.

Sleep through the night.

Medical profession says there is no evidence or studies that support this.

Anyone else have a home remedy that is not supposed to work but does?

Eat healthy and exercise rather than take a pill.

I mean it’s not a home remedy but chiropractic treatments helped me, my mom and other friends when the next step from docs was pain management.

Manglier teas with colds. Look it up, basically a shrub you’ve likely cut down before.

The medical industry is the biggest farce. Their goal is to get people addicted to drugs.

My mom thought everything could be cured with Vicks vapor rub, vitamin c tablets, and gargling salt water. And if all else fails, wrap up in a blanket and sit in the sunlight.

All have benefits, but it’s the scope of how much they worked that she probably believed in a little too much.

The sunlight treatment seems to work for me and my family as well. If someone is sick with a cold and light fever you have to go lay on the trampoline and take a nap in the sun. For whatever reason it works

So.... More effective than the COVID 'vaccine'?

Interesting.

I’ve tried. Jury is still out on that one. I may have tried too much whiskey.

I love to read medical journals and studies and the more and more is coming out that countries where people are outside the most have the healthiest population and rarely get sick.

I would trust your mom more than most doctors today. They are either constrained by insurance or in bed with the pharmaceuticals.

Just ensuring proper vitamin D levels would have changed the Covid pandemic completely. You never heard any of the so called experts even mention it.

My mom always recommended a regular Coca-Cola for nausea. My mother-in-law liked 7UP.

Could be. Moderation is key.

Does wonders for me as well. Also, a good ginger ale or ginger beer.

In the 70s it was ginger ale.

If I ever have a fever and need to break it I do a hot toddy before bed.

- Immunity Tea - 2 bags (several brands have them, just make sure it isn't caffeinated
- Tablespoon of local honey
- Lemon wedge
- 2-4 oz of bourbon

Sometimes I'll come over the top of that with a tiny sip of Nyquil, but not good to mix booze with acetaminophen too often. Just Nyquil won't do it for me either.

Even more effective if you get in the sauna first, followed by cold shower.

Sunlight is another one mentioned that I truly believe works. Just tough to do in the Winter where I live and it's freezing cold. Unfortunately that's usually when illnesses are around our familly.
