Chicago, where no public school kids were physically in a classroom for two years during the pandemic.

I really hate to say it but if we could just get rid of all of the fricking piss soaked bums and aggressive street people, things would be better.

I see good people avoiding eye contact with the crazies. Have courage. Be ready to fight these assholes.

Could you direct me to the online "poop map" for West Monroe parish? You know, like the San Francisco one?

Yeah it's not the country dumb people. It's the city psycho people.

If you have seen them, you know them.

Way more likely to shout at a random stranger

Yeah. Our gov sending billions to foreign countries and housing and supporting illegals vs investing in American communities. The House just approved billions more to Ukraine. Even in the crap cities, maybe investing in community centers, skate board parks, and other recreational things for kids and teens to do might help some. Some. Trash will be trash, but it could help some. And other stuff like someone already suggested.

This is what gets me. I'm currently following the construction on youtube of chimney hollow reservoir. Fantastic project and one of the only reservoirs built in the last like 30 years. Its a five year construction project. They are boring huge tunnels, have their own concrete plant, rock crushing plant, asphalt plant. Building massive pipelines along with water pumps. Just an awesome project with many different components.

The cost? around 500mil.

To think we could do that project 150-350 times over with money we've send to Ukraine is wild. That's a lot of decent jobs for 5 years that results in useful infrastructure.

A trillion + $ infrastructure bill was passed in 2021. It’s actually ok to just not spend the money on anything. Since it’s not like we have the money in the first place

Most cities are good at building roads, bridges, buildings, etc. The problem is they don’t budget enough to maintain them.

It’s or just the lack of money. The people are the core problem and rots the city from the inside. Our low class citizenry are growing are rotting within A new highway isn’t going to fix that.

Assuming the bill discussed today is added, the combined amount of support for Ukraine is not even a fifth of what the infrastructure bill a few years back, even after you take out the pork.

Assume you didn’t have a issue there, right?
