We took my mom to MD Anderson last year for her AML. They had a trial with an experimental treatment for chemo resistant AML. The doctor refused to let my mom in the trial. She was dead 6 weeks later.
I am sorry to hear about your experience; however, I doubt the doctor refused to let her on the trial. She probably did not meet the specific eligibility criteria for that trial, which means the doctor was legally not allowed to enroll her on the trial.

MD Anderson is world-renowned, but there is a dark side to MD Anderson.
Are you always this dramatic?

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A well known food writer from Baton Rouge, Holly Clegg, is out of surgery and “all went well,” according to a Facebook post made Wednesday night.
Clegg was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August of 2018.
The post said that doctors were able to save 10 percent of her stomach, which will “dramatically improve her quality of life.”
“We are overjoyed, thankful and so proud of our fighter,” the post read.
Clegg has written numerous cookbooks, including ones with recipes for eating with diabetes and for those battling cancer.

Good luck to her in her recovery and future treatment

I hope she’ll be okay. I just recently watched a video in which she made a crawfish king cake. I love the concept, but I have some other ideas.
Prayers for her.
Prayers for her.

Holly Clegg's family posted on her Facebook page a little while ago that the doctors have stopped further treatments.
Her cancer has continued to spread in spite of aggressive chemo treatments and now the goal is to keep her as comfortable as possible.
She is at MD Anderson in Houston.

That's sad and terrible to hear. A cousin of mine is very good friends with her and I know she'll be devastated when she finds out.

I logged quite a few hours there.

I don't think this is new news. She's had cancer for awhile.
I posted the update on her prognosis this afternoon.

Coming from someone who has lost a family member to cancer, I want to beat your arse right now. You are sorry.
I think it's an OT Baws way of saying she's very attractive. He don't mean no harm.
I mean she is a beautiful woman.
And this latest news is awful news to hear for her and her family. And also for BR folks who've followed her in news channel appearances, social media, books etc.

Bless her. My dad has glioblastoma and goes to memorial hermann because his mom died at MD Anderson (bad memories not bad practice) luckily the head neurosurgeon there is world renown. It's tough knowing there is no cure.

Horrible.
I've known her my entire life. Grew up with her daughter and my sister grew up with her other daughter.
Used to go to their house all the time as a kid and she would make us the best brownies you can imagine.
Terrible news. I've given her Oncology focused cook book she made with Dr. Miletello to several friends who have had cancer.

Just wondering if Holly’s husband name is Mike?
So sad to hear what she and her family is going through. Kind thoughts and prayers are sent to them.

I used to watch TWILA before I ever moved to Louisiana. She always seemed like a very nice lady. Mike Danna, who used to host the show, also fought a tough battle with cancer.
