As for Hulk Hogan, the whole NWO concept turned me off, just like DX in WWF. Even though I didn't follow wrestling that close at the time, I was always cognizant of the plotlines somehow. I've grown to realize the only reason I disliked the new stuff was because it wasn't the old stuff. It was every bit as good for its generation as older was for ours.

As far as the stable goes, 75% of the locker room would end up being nWo

I remember everybody and their mother going NWO at one point. There was definitely a peak and the downslope was when the regular schmos from the roster started jumping in the frey to get some sort of “pub”

Absolutely the best times of wrestling! So much better than. all the candy arse drama on todays wrestling. It is worse than a dam soap opera! Went to Biloxi to see one of the Monday night shows back in the day as well and our seats were on the walk way. Good times!

At first the nWo was an elite faction... once everybody and their grandmother started getting in, it lost its luster

That was a great time to be a fifteen years old.

I was 7 and was absolutely stunned. The Rodman/nWo entrance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHqBPw5HYDU&ab_channel=millieniumman ) in Chicago during the NBA Finals one year is the GOAT entrance. Everything about that stable broke the rules. Was so edgy and everyone played their part perfectly. Hogan, Hall, Nash, Bischoff...guys you just loved to hate.

I wonder what Hogan was thinking when he walked out knowing he was about to piss off a lot of people yet about to make history

He wanted to turn heel when Ultimate Warrior was getting his huge pops in the early 90’s, but McMahon wouldn’t let it happen.

No, dude. You did it all wrong. This is the correct grammatical interpretation:

"LAdies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of ALL ages... D-Generation X, proudly brings to you, its WWF TAG Team Champions of the WORRRRRRRLD -- The Road Dogg Jesse James!... The Bad arse Billy Gunn!... the NEW... AGE... OUTLAWS!

...and if you're not down with that, I've got two words for ya: SUCK IIIIIIIIIT!"

NWO in one promotion, D-X in the other...man, what a time to be a wrestling fan.

I remember Shawn Michaels did the "4 life" hand signal on Raw- a few days later Kevin Nash is walking out, and says "right back atcha, HBK."

Billy Gunn is still a badass.

He'll be 58 in November.

He could still get in the ring.

I hear Road Dogg ain't doing that well these days. Sad. The NAO were a great tag team.
