Agreed. I think he panicked and knew he had to get to ER and I wonder if skating off the ice is what did him in.

Terrible situation and It doesn't appear to be an accident but I know jack shite about ice skating and hockey. Kicking someone like that on purpose can't possibly be a common occurrence. That wasn't like a trip or anything. That was a Kung Fu kick to the neck.

He loses consciousness before he gets to the bench and dies not long after. What’s your point?

That' you're the worst poster during In-Game Baseball threads ever.

The point was we don't see a person die on the video. Faqbutt.

Years ago there was a very bloody accident where the goalie I believe got his throat slashed. He's bleeding all over the ice but he miraculously survived.

Emt on the scene had military experience iirc

Most penalty minutes in the league last year.

Using the video it’s ridiculous to say it’s on purpose. He goes to check the skater and he contacts the front man, and misses (barely grazes him) then loses his balance. You can see his skate wobble and dig into the ice as well

I don’t believe it was intentional. Because why would it be?

I watched the video last week. That was a LOT of blood in a very short time…matter of seconds really. It’s kinda crazy this doesn’t happen more often in hockey.

i think the neck kick was an accident. i do think he was trying to kick the guy to save himself from colliding with him because of the mostly missed check. its strange all around.

so i hold my opinion its an accident, but very stupid decision on his part.

Knowing people who have played hockey through college, they said this looked intentional to them. He may have grazed the other skater but he was definitely going for the guy with the puck. Nothing would make him raise his leg like that without control.

You can see in hockey games all the time when players lose balance their leg kicks up

The clip isn't that bad, itself. It's more knowing what the result was makes it worse.

It's manslaughter at least. That wasn't hockey at all. If they had a beef, it could be murder.

Oh I get it, this is inexcusable behavior. I was just saying I don't think he did it with the intent to kill the guy. If he did then wow. Probably wanted to hurt him to get him out the game. I read somewhere that they guy has a long list of behavior issues on the ice.

I think he wanted to cause injury for sure but I do not believe he aimed to do what was done.

This is horrific by the way
When you decide to take a foot mounted blade up to someones head and nect region you cant at that point declare an accident.

He is guilty of something, I am not smart enough to know what but he did something that was intentional that killed someone.
