One old lady made a post complaining about Latins digging through her trash after she put it out and she wasn't happy about it.
She of course meant to type latinos, but she got her arse handed to her.

You some kind of stupid? Wtf would you do that. Most people do exactly the opposite....and smart people just start the process in a house with land.

Every few months someone in my neighborhood will make a post trying to rally support to make our subdivision a gated community. Those are always fun.

People get what they deserve. Move to a neighborhood with another level of government that can tell you what you can't do to your own property, you deserve it.

OP...

Water balloon launcher in the back yard.

Balloons full of weedkiller.

Simple math and a dark night.

You're welcome.

Meh. I get that some HOA's can be stupid, but I would think some people value not having to deal with Billy Bob living next door who parks junked cars on his front yard and lets the grass grow 2 feet tall. Of course the appliances on the front porch are always a nice touch as well.

They have a FB page and i joined it begrudgingly. Man... there is a shitestorm 24/7 going on. Some of the most passive aggressive behavior i've ever witnessed over grass clippings, dogs, house colors, etc. Is this normal or is my neighborhood an exception?

I don't post on mine but there's been a lot of fuss over some jackass that can't keep his dogs in his yard. If you can't take care of your dogs then you shouldn't own one. I would be very concerned if my dog was loose in the neighborhood but this dipshit just argues with everyone and makes excuses. It's very entertaining.

well I don't know any city that doesn't have city ordinances that cover this type of stuff

like Roger said, this is simply another level of government that people willingly put themselves under

Lived in a neighborhood with an HOA. I handled business the old fashioned way. One day I pulled up and a couple were hurriedly walking away from my driveway with their dog. Pulled up to find a giant pile of shite in my yard. Got back in my truck, caught up to them and told them they could come by and pick it up or find it in places they weren’t expecting. It got picked up

buying a house in a “neighborhood”/subdivision without an HOA in south Louisiana is extremely risky. I wouldn’t do it.

My wife fills me in on the HOA drama in my neighborhood.. I stay in my lane and live in a bubble

Too much to worry about in life to care about what other people's front yards look like

Yeah if you’re buying a 50-100k house. I live in one now that is full of professionals and we don’t have any issues

That price range guarantees you are going to be living around trash.

you know what you’re getting into the GD or uptown, and that’s probably a part of why you’re doing it

Not so much in the suburbs
