"The Hilton donated the ~2600 dinners that went unserved at WHCD. They freeze dried the steak and lobster for longer shelf life before giving them to 2 shelters for abused women and children," according to Weijia Jiang, CBS News correspondent and the president of the White House Correspondents' Association. "HUGE thank you to the staff that worked through the night under terrible circumstances."

Now you've given the homeless incentive to try to kill the president at all events with food.

Gonna need to abuse more women this month (in my best Dilbert cartoon bubble)?

Kidding of course.

They are a private organization.

We are finding that most big “private” organizations are funded by the government

It would be a shame to waste steak and lobster. I'm glad the food went to people who need it.

Let's not forget that they did get paid already. Still...a good thing to do.

Who fricking cares? All of that is so trivial compared to the money that the Hiltons have. And the Hiltons are married to the Rothschilds to boot.

They were fresh and freeze dried them before donating them to the shelter.

It is a completely private event, the only thing taxpayers provided was the security.

This makes me happy, I forgot the documentar I watched a while back, but my mind was blown how much food gets thrown out by some of the major stores like Walmart, target, etc.

Like, it was fricking astronomical amounts of food that could feed a small town

They’re catching a bunch of shite, but apparently there’s some stupid law in place that they can’t give it away on the verge, expiration, so they literally wait till it expires and if they don’t sell it, they have to throw it away

So they spent more on the food to give to the homeless?

There used to be a pizza place in Oklahoma that specialized in that type of cuisine. I think they had some live animals outside to look at.
