It's not absolving anyone, it's being honest in recognizing that these kinds of clothing prohibitions are selectively enforced, largely based on who raises the biggest stink to administrators and teachers.
The people on here trashing someone for wearing a Confederate Flag would be the first people on here deriding the school for suspending a student for wearing a gay pride shirt or a goth outfit because the FCA members objected, even if said students were just as offended as those who dislike the Confederate Flag.
Most of the folks on here defending the right of the student to wear the shirt (Weagle99 and Roger) are your PoliBoard libertarians who don't really care what clothing someone else wears and would not change their opinion based on the subject matter of the clothing. That's a much more honest and consistent approach imo.

Come on fr33. This is a high school. They do not allow kids to wear anything that will great chaos.
When I was in HS they banned the colors blue, red and purple. Those were colors 3 different gangs used and if one person went "reppin" their colors around a group from the other gang... they would get jumped.. So I would imagine a school would ban all of that.
