There’s hard legal football plays and then there’s this trash committed by trash. It needs to be prosecuted and in Texas it would be.

absolutely not defending this despicable act. Wtf are you talking about? But seeing a random 95’ Eddie Guerrero move out on the middle of a football field provokes a little chuckle. But the huge arse kid doing it is a massive typos to intentionally hurt another smaller kid.

Get the stick out of your arse

Your “don’t believe your own eyes attitude” is the trouble with this country. Or is your view clouded by race? One kid is down and the other is trying to hurt him

It’s bad.

But idk if it’s as bad as people are making it out to be.

There is no sign that the fat kid was trying to cause unreasonable damage.

Not saying the intent wasn’t as bad as people think, but we have literally no proof. A fat af kid pancakes a kid in football.

Intent? Why should that matter?

Do drunk drivers intend to wreck and injure/kill innocents? If 2 men get into a fight where one falls, cracks his head open, then later dies from his injury, the other man didn’t intend to kill him but it’s still manslaughter

the kid with the back injury will have a lifetime of pain and medical cost. The family needs to sign up Morris Bart and sue the two school districts, the high school league and the fat kid for a 100 million dollars. A coach, employee of the offending school allowed that to happen. Anybody remember the saints getting big dollar penalized for allowing the operation of a targeting pool aimed at opposing team players. Same concept.

This happened to a friend of mine in HS. After the play was over the other kid hit my friend square in the back and broke his spine. Luckily he recovered and can walk fine but playing days obviously done

If you break someone’s spine, two outcomes …death or paralyzed. Probably cracked a vertebrate, which is the bone surrounding the spine that protects it. Kid was still moving afterwards. Cracked vertebrate

They’re not prosecuted because no one should be on any field of play who can’t defend himself

So if a batter goes after a pitcher with a bat, it’s the pitchers fault because he couldn’t defend himself.

This kind of behavior is becoming more and more common with the “COVID” generation. Ie the 2 year gap of no interaction, education, discipline, accountability, responsibility and guidance during their formative years are a lost generation

Shifty parenting makes it worse.

Nobody on a sports field should have to defend themselves from criminal acts.

That’s not a garden variety PF

That under NFHS rules is flagrant PF and would warrant a dq

it was worth it for the Saints though. winning a Super Bowl brings big money in and they don't do that with a defense playing by normal rules

and why would they sue the kids' own team? maybe sue the other team, and an underage kid can't legally be sued

Remember that scene from the final game of The Bad New Bears where the opposing pitcher intentionally threw the ball at the kid's head? And then his Dad - the evil coach and villain of the movie - goes out there and whacks the kid and and screams at him because "he could have killed that kid".

I never had a problem with that scene even though it was made to paint him in a bad light.

Morris Bart will think otherwise, and include the fat kids parents, the fat kids coach, and file a complaint against the fat kid for assault.

I'm not a doctor, but when I saw this yesterday I assumed it would turn out somewhat similar. Curious if this story gains enough traction for the 100% truth to come out.
